An Exhibition was being Built at the entrance into Uni the same day we had our Surroundings Project, I already had been drawing from workmen's outfits and interesting aspects of their uniforms on starting at Kings Cross as I wanted to pick out abstract shapes and ideas for developing my Menswear ideas. 

I loved the Columns and focused on drawing this in detail, the way the top of the columns protruded out at angles which is what I tried to incorporate at the top of the Shoulders on my 3D Paper Sculpture.

I looked at the ever changing structure of the staging that was being put up and how my ideas changed as it evolved, the pictures on the right reflect me trying to interpert columns or structures with paper. If I was to do this Surroundings Project again, I would be a lot less timid about my ideas, as I feel I was second guessing everything I did the First week which was a learning process for me on starting University; now I am making mistakes like with my Jacket project and working on developing them over and over again instead of trying to create a Final idea straight away
